I need a SIMILE for this CHARACTER?

He is a caring guy and he killed the crazy girl that stopped all their problems in the house, but he wanted to stay in the house and sacrificed himself after everything is over so that everyone would be safe and sound. Can u invent a simile? Or like what does he compare to? an animal, place, or something. THANKS btw if ur interested its from a book called The House by Bentley Little. I have to do a project about it
