Please help me on how to make my pencil eyeliner glide on more smoothly?

i dont want to get a new eye liner i dont want liquid kind either. i just need to know on how to get my pencil eyeliner to glide on my eyes wehn i put it on. i have tried bresthing out hot hair for it but it only did a tinsy thing. i cannot use a lighter to melt it a little becuz this will be in school and obviously i am not aloud to bring a lighter lol. but please help me out here. i also cant use a blowdryer to melt it because its gonna be in school :/ so yeah. i have tried also sharpening it :/ i cannot go out there and buy a new eye liner.
