Problem with lungs?

For the last two weeks I have been fatigued, coughing mildly in the morning and night, coughing up brown phlegm, and recently there has been blood coming in the phlegm (only small little spots). I am a smoker and I have quit, but it barely helped. I have also had a close friend who has had bronchitis, but it lasted only a week for him. I am asking here because I cannot afford to see a doctor.
