Question about getting pregnant after a D&C?

I have VERY abnormal periods. I just turned 33 and have had 1 miscarriage 4 yrs. ago. I have not tried to get pregnant since then and now I am ready to have a baby. I saw my new OBGYN today and because of my irregular and abnormal periods, I am scheduled for a pap and an ultrasound to check for scar tissue, endometriosis and so on. After that they want to give me a D&C (which I am THRILLED ABOUT and WANT!)....my QU is this: Will my chances of conceiving a baby be easier? I'm not on the BC pill and my doc does not want me on the pill. I got pregnant last time by getting off the BC pill and which resulted in me getting pregnant that next month (I lost the baby 10 weeks later.) Any advice or stories? PLS!!! Thanks everyone!
