Is this a form of bribery is Islam, how do I repent if so?

OK here goes, I am taking my driving lessons now, last week my instructor told me that she can arrange for her tester friend to ist me, after some fee. Due to some language barrier, I don't quite understand what she was getting on. I agreed and say, sure why not. Since I'm new to this place & country, I am not sure of the formalities. She asked me to book some test fee and paid at the counter and later asked for another amount of money so I gave her. When she first told me her friend could help, I somehow have a feeling it could be something illegal, but I scd off the idea because I am in an arab/muslim country. I mean, how could that be? Only after the lesson I realised its exactly as what I thought, as she told me she will put my money in some sheets of paper and consider it done, I have ped my garage & parallel parking test. :( i couldn't believe that I have committed bribery in a matter of 10minutes. I have been living in guilt ever since... what should I do? I have still a long way to p my driving test and my intention of ping is so that I can send my kids to school and give them a wholesome good, blessed life, and look what have I done.. i have started with the wrong foot! If u have nothing good or valuable advise, please don't answer. Thank you.
